Earth: Time Lapse View from Space

If you haven’t seen it yet, this goes at the top of the list of time-lapse video wonderment shot from space.

Astronaut Ron Garan chronicled his stay in space more beautifully than any before him, and this collection of images taken with a low-light camera shows so much splendor of Earth that it’s hard to know where to start.

You’ll see cities, the extent of urban human impact, lightning storms, the beautiful magnetic light show of the auroras … and lots of places that are just plain, dark, beautiful Earth.

Enjoy this full screen and with a sense of awe.
