Māori Tā Moko face marking was a sacred practice among the indigenous of New Zealand. Each moko design was unique to each individual, (no two designs were ever the same as they were never duplicated) and signified a young man’s transition from childhood to manhood. As well as representing rank and status these marks also had significant meaning to the wearer, symbolically connecting them to their ancestors and lineage.

The Adventures of Ordinary Batman by Sarah Johnson

It stands to reason that since Batman is kind of just a regular guy, the comics are kind of lax in portraying his more normal adventures. In her spare time, Sarah began doodling some of Bat’s more mundane capers, like fishing, riding a swing tire, and scooping up the poop of an adorbzable kitteh. A motion I propose to the Internets: this is all official canon now. If we all pretend hard enough, they’ll have to make it true, right?

Oh what huge ears you have, Tenzin.

BTW Studio MIR is where a lot of the LOK magic happens, concept art and animation-wise.
This is great.

ok so i really like multiple arms and people in suitsand dainty whimsical handsand i opened the animator’s survival kit on a whim today and this was one of the pages and i guhajghhghhehehgggg

whoa this is cool

everyone should own this book

In motion, frames 18 and 19 look just fine and actually flow beautifully, but it just looks like the animator drew the thumb on the wrong side compared to the rest of the frames and it’s confusing the piss out of me hahahaaaaa
